Col. Anil AlaghGENERAL MANAGER CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Col Anil Alagh, Consultant - CSR, Select Group, calls his role in guiding and operationally executing CSR activity of the miscellaneous charities and outreach initiatives of Select Group, an extension of himself.
An Army veteran who has participated in Counter Insurgency operations in both J & K and the North East region, he commanded a specialized missile unit during the Kargil war. He has been General Manager with the Group since Oct 2007, first at Select Hotels and thereafter, since July 2010, at the CSR Foundation he helped raise in one of the Group Companies.
He loves to reach out to the environment and animals alike, but nurturing
children, especially those who are differently abled, and serving the old or destitute are his personal passion and life’s path. He individually supports various charities, and motivates others to follow a path of love and compassion both through resource and time. A follower of Swami Vivekananda’s ideals and an ardent admirer of Mother Teresa, he prefers to lead by example and uses his hands and heart in bringing smiles and solace to all. An outdoor person, he prefers hands-on engagement bringing love and solace to people in need. He is a thrice a week volunteer at a home for the abandoned old and the destitute.
As advisor-cum-executor in Select Group CSR initiatives, he is also actively involved in the Sharma family’s multiple personal charities
